KBC Media & Workshops CIC delivers professional creative education, workshops and mentoring across the West Midlands, working with schools, alternative provision, local authorities, youth services and community organisations.

Led by professional DJ and creative practitioner Kieron Bell, our programmes combine real-world creative industry experience with more than 20 years of working with and educating young people.

We use DJing, music production, photography, videography and digital content creation to engage young people in practical learning, helping them develop new skills, confidence, communication and aspirations.

Our programmes can support young people across a wide range of needs and abilities, including those in mainstream education, alternative provision and PRUs, young people with SEND and EHCPs, disadvantaged young people, and those who may struggle to engage through conventional classroom-based learning.

More Than a Workshop

Creative activity is often the starting point.

Our aim is to use that initial interest to build relationships, develop skills and create opportunities for progression.

Young people we have worked with have progressed from complete beginners to performing DJs, developed photography, videography and editing skills, used their work within education, and progressed into apprenticeships and paid creative opportunities.

Our sessions are practical, inclusive and delivered by practitioners who actively work within the creative industries.

Creative Discovery Workshop — From £225

2-hour workshop | Up to 7 young people | 1 practitioner

An engaging introduction to professional creative skills.

Creative Group Workshop — From £295

2 hours | 8–14 young people | 2 practitioners

Designed for larger groups while maintaining meaningful hands-on participation.

Young people work in smaller groups with professional equipment and practitioners, allowing significantly more practical participation than a demonstration-style workshop.

Available as DJing & Music, Photography & Videography, Creative Media, or a combination depending on the group.

6-Week Creative Skills Programme — From £1,650

6 × 2-hour sessions | Up to 10 young people

A structured programme designed to take participants beyond an introductory experience.

Young people build their skills progressively over six weeks, with sessions tailored around the needs, interests and starting ability of the group.

The programme can support confidence, communication, practical skills, engagement and progression while giving participants something tangible to work towards.

12-Week Creative Development Programme — From £3,150

12 × 2-hour sessions | Up to 10 young people

Our more comprehensive development programme for organisations seeking sustained engagement rather than a one-off activity.

Over 12 weeks, participants have time to develop meaningful technical skills, build relationships with practitioners and work towards individual creative goals.

The programme can combine creative education with mentoring and progression support and can be adapted for young people who need a more individualised approach to engagement.

Particularly suited to alternative provision, SEND/EHCP support, youth intervention programmes and young people who struggle to engage with mainstream education.

Half-Day Creative Experience — From £395

4 hours | Up to 10 young people | 2 practitioners

An immersive creative experience suitable for enrichment days, school holidays, youth programmes and special events.

Young people can rotate through activities such as DJing, music production, photography, videography and content creation.

3-Day Creative Programme — From £1,150

3 × 4-hour sessions | Up to 10 young people

A concentrated programme particularly suitable for school holidays, HAF provision and community youth programmes.

Participants receive approximately 12 hours of practical creative activity across three days, with opportunities to explore several disciplines or focus more intensively on one area.

1:1 Creative Mentoring

Bespoke quotation

Individual creative mentoring for young people who benefit from more personalised support.

Sessions can combine practical creative development with mentoring, confidence-building, goal setting and progression.

This can be particularly appropriate for young people with EHCPs, those receiving alternative provision, or individuals who find larger group environments challenging.

I'd not publish Kieron's £100 first-hour / £50 subsequent rate here. Individual cases can vary considerably and councils may commission blocks of provision, so we want the freedom to quote.
