Kieron Bell has worked with at least 50 schools over the past three decades, delivering creative education across Birmingham, Solihull and the wider West Midlands.
Winner of the Community Innovation Award at the 2026 Solihull Civic Awards, Kieron combines professional creative experience with an approach built around each young person.
What We Offer
Practical sessions led by working creative professionals:
DJing & Music — from first mixes to building sets and performing live.
Music Production — creating original music using professional software and equipment.
Photography, Video & Content Creation — hands-on skills in shooting, editing and producing digital content.
Mentoring — individual guidance to develop talent and explore creative opportunities.
We offer one-off workshops, regular sessions and longer-term programmes.
Built Around Each Young Person
We support beginners and gifted young creatives, including young people with SEND or Education, Health and Care Plans, those experiencing disadvantage and those outside mainstream education.
Our experience includes mainstream schools, Pupil Referral Units (PRUs) and community settings, alongside current work in prisons and experience supporting young offenders. Sessions adapt to each learner’s interests, abilities and support needs.
Our council-funded work includes a renewed mentoring contract with Walsall Council.
From First Steps to Paid Work
Young people we’ve taught and mentored have progressed from complete beginners to performing DJs, apprentices and paid creative professionals.
Many have gone on to work in DJing, photography and videography some alongside KBC, others building their own businesses and freelance careers.
Some of our most advanced students receive regular paid work through KBC. Through KBC bookings, students have gained professional experience on wedding and event shoots, including a wedding in Barbados in 2025 and work at Shangri-La at The Shard and Marco Pierre White, to name just a few.
Showcasing Student Talent
We’ve run competitions giving students opportunities to showcase their skills and win cash prizes.
More than 10 videos featuring our students have each exceeded 100,000 views on social media, with the most watched reaching 5.5 million, bringing their creativity to wider audiences.
Alongside his Solihull Civic Award win, Kieron has been nominated for the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner Outstanding Citizens Award.
